Neviscater keeps two separate lists of people:
- Staff members — the people who work for you. They appear in drop-downs such as Received By on payments and as email recipients for reports. They do not get a login.
- Users (sub-users) — people who can log in to your account with their own email and password, with a Role that limits what they can do.
A cook who never opens the app is staff. Your accountant who enters payments is a user (and can also be a staff member, if you want them in the Received By list). Both are part of the Staff Management plan feature: enable it under Application Setup → Preferences → Enable Staff Management.
Staff members
Core → Staff Management.
- Create New Staff Member → Staff Name, Contact No-1 / -2, Email, Address → Save.
- Use the eye icon to View Staff Member Details, the pencil to Edit.
Inactive staff: rather than deleting someone who has left (their name is on past payments), mark them inactive — Hide this staff member from new payment entries. Existing records are preserved. Toggle Show active / Show inactive at the top to see each list, and reactivate with Make this staff member available again.
Staff with an Email can be ticked as recipients in Email Reports.
Users (sub-users)
Core → Users (under Staff Management in the sidebar).
- Check Remaining Slots at the top — the number of additional logins your plan allows. When it reaches 0 the Add New User button is disabled; upgrade the plan for more seats.
- Add New User → Name, Email (their login), Password / Confirm Password, Role → Create User.
- To change a role or reset a password, Edit User (Leave blank to keep current password).
A sub-user can also change their own name, mobile and password from the My Account drawer in the top-right user menu — see My Account.
The sub-user signs in at the normal login page with that email. They see your data, limited by their role — see Roles and Permissions.
Main account vs sub-users
The account you registered with is the main account owner (super admin). Some things are owner-only regardless of role:
- Restore Points, Export / Import / Clear Database (see Saving and Restoring Your Data)
- Plan and subscription changes
- Creating roles and users
Sub-users do not see these in the sidebar.
Activity Log
Core → Activity Log (the Activity Log dashboard widget shows the latest entries) records every change made in the account: When, User, Action (created / updated / deleted), Record Type and Record, and the Changes — each field with its old and new value.
Filter by User, Record Type, Quick Range or Custom Range (From – To), then Filter; Reset clears. Use it to answer "who changed the guest count on order 1042?" or to review a new sub-user's first week.
Common questions
A staff member doesn't appear in Received By. They are marked inactive, or Staff Management is disabled in Preferences.
Can two people log in with the same email? No — each user needs a unique email. Create a separate user per person so the Activity Log is meaningful.
I deleted a user; what happens to their entries? Records stay; the Activity Log keeps their name on past actions.
