Menu Embedding puts your menus on your own website. Visitors browse your items or your published catalog packages, pick what they want, enter their details and guest count, and click Request quotation. The request appears in Neviscater as a new order in Online Enquiry status with the event and menu already filled in. Part of the Menu Embedding plan feature.
Two kinds of link
| Link | What visitors see | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Menu Link | Your full item list grouped by type; they build their own menu | Items Table (all items) |
| Menu Catalog Link | Your ready-made packages with thumbnail, items and rate per plate; they pick one | Menus Catalog entries marked published — see Catalog Menus |
You can use either or both.
Generate the link
- Application Setup → Menu Embedding.
- Enter your Website address (choose https / http and type the domain) — the site where you will embed it.
- Click Generate Menu Link and/or Generate Menu Catalog Link. The Generated Link appears below.
- Copy it and give it to whoever maintains your website: paste it into the page as an embedded frame, or link a "Build your menu" button to it.
Delete Menu Link / Delete Menu Catalog Link revokes a link immediately (e.g. if you change website). Generate again to get a new one.
What happens when a visitor sends an enquiry
- A new Order is created with status Online Enquiry, customer name / phone / email from the form, the requested date as start date, and the chosen guests.
- One Event named after the visitor's choice (default Quotation Request) holds the selected items as a menu under a Quotation sub-menu.
- It appears in your Orders list and Order Pipeline. Open it, check the menu, set the quoted rate, and move it to Booked when the customer confirms — or Cancelled. See Creating and Managing Orders → Order status lifecycle.
No prices are shown on the Menu Link; rates on the Catalog Link are the catalog's Rate / Plate.
Tips
- Keep item names customer-friendly — visitors see every item in your Items Table, including preparation items, so name them clearly.
- Publish only the catalogs you want to sell; unpublish seasonal ones.
- Review Online Enquiries daily; they do not send you an email.
Common questions
The embedded page is blank. The link was deleted (Delete Menu Link) or pasted incompletely. Regenerate and copy the whole link.
Visitors see an old item list. The widget reads live data; ask them to refresh the page.
Can I get the enquiry by email? Not currently — check the Orders list or the dashboard Order Pipeline for Online Enquiry.
